Monday

An insight into the heart of the cable cars
06.06. – 03.10.2022
How does a cable car work? How is artificial snow actually produced? And what does a snow groomer look like from the inside? You can get answers to these and many other questions every Monday at the Technical Day on the Helm.
We meet at at 10.00 am at the valley station of the cable car Helmjet Sexten. Together we will take the new cable car, once at the top we will visit its mountain station as well as the mountain station Versciaco-Monte Elmo. In addition, we will discuss the technical snow production in detail and visit our so-called "snow cats".

Reindeer watching
daily
The only herd of reindeer in the Alps has been living on the Rotwand for several years. You can watch the fluffy four-legged friends from the new viewing bridge at the mountain station of the cable car and take a photo or two with them. Come and see them! The reindeer are looking forward to see you!

Start the day on the summit of the mountain: early in the morning the Helm cable cars will take you up to this unforgettable natural spectacle. You can then enjoy a hearty breakfast at the Helm restaurant. (Registration by 5 pm the day before)

Night funbobing & hut party

There’s no better way to bring a day to an end than enjoying the sunset at 2,150m above sea level! After a fortifying dumpling soup at Helm restaurant we hike to Olperl’s mountain lakes to catch the last rays of the sun. (Registration by 5 pm the day before)

Smuggler trail
08.06. – 05.10.22
Where once between the Austrian and Italian borders goods were smuggled back and forth, today runs a trail that leads high up to the summit of the Helm. Along the smuggler's path, you will be accompanied by stories of that era, insights about the time and the life of the smugglers, as well as the view of the majestic Dolomites of Sexten.

The last hours of sunshine have arrived, the sun is sinking lower and lower, the air is still warm and the mighty mountain backdrop of the Sesto Sundial towers into the sky in front of you. At "Mountain & Prosecco", the restaurant Helm invites you to a mountain aperitivo, where you can round off the day perfectly with a tasty drink and small appetisers.

Grandma's dumplings
